Quantity Surveyor

THE ROLE

I am seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join my client, a firm of construction consultants in York.

You will need to be a Quantity Surveyor working for another firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants and be keen to do a role as a QS and Employer's Agent.

You will Assist a Senior QS.

You will either be working towards becoming chartered or be recently chartered.

Some training can be given if you have not previously fulfilled the Employer's Agent role.

My client is continuing to expand which has created this role to work on a range of exciting projects across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

Experience of working on residential projects is required as you will work on affordable housing and private housing projects for Developers, Local Authorities and others.

You may also work on projects in other sectors including education, healthcare etc.

THE COMPANY

My client is a firm of construction consultants offering cost management, project management and EA services with several offices across the North East and North West of England.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Quantity Surveyor with at least 18 months post graduate experience working for another firm of construction consultants.

You will either be working towards becoming chartered or up to around recently qualified level.

You will need to have pre and post contract experience as a QS with experience to include estimating, tender reporting, contract administration, cost control, programme and risk management.

You will be keen to get involved in a role which will include all QS duties and Employer's Agent duties too.

Experience of residential projects is preferred.

Support will be given to become chartered.

Salary is very negotiable according to experience plus pension, fees, support to become chartered if not chartered already, performance related bonus.

In addition my client is open to some element of flexible working if you want to work from home a couple of days per week.
