Senior Asset Manager

Asset Management Director, REPE

UK Asset Management Director required by privately owned real estate investment and asset management company with €2.5 Bn AUM. The company is headquartered in London, with European satellite offices. It co-invests to a substantial extent and acts as the operating partner for blue-chip institutions, investing in residential and commercial real estate in the UK, Germany and France.
Following a period of significant growth and asset acquisition activity there is now a requirement for a senior level, strategic but hands-on asset manager to join the team with a focus on core plus and value add UK offices.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Set business plan objectives for assets
• Source, negotiate and close major new lettings
• Assess accretive asset management initiatives
• Manage, negotiate and close lease re-gearing activity
• Monitor and control costs for capex programmes in progress
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting, liquidity analysis, equity and debt financing requirements
• Oversee financial analyses of asset management information /potential AM initiatives
• Appoint and direct project teams to fulfil business plan objectives
• Design and implement marketing and letting campaigns
• Participate in investor reporting, both internally and externally
• Support the London‐based execution team in calculating pricing of investment opportunities

Knowledge /Qualifications

• Native‐standard spoken and written English
• Chartered status desirable but not essential
• Strong financial modelling ability in Excel
• Good degree (2:1 minimum) in a relevant subject from a reputable University.

Required Experience

• 10 - 15 years of directly relevant, hands-on asset management experience gained within a top‐tier principal investor
• Significant career focus on the UK market and UK office sector
• Exposure to value-add real estate strategies
• Demonstrable experience of devising/implementing strategic AM initiatives
• Track record of direct delivery of successful leasing, regearing, refurbishment, development and dispositions
• Exposure to direct interaction with Board level equity and debt capital partners
• Debt sourcing experience is not a prerequisite but would be an advantage
• Management experience is not a prerequisite but is desirable.
