Associate Quantity Surveyor

THE ROLE

I am seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor (or Senior Associate QS) to join a large firm of consultants in their central London office.

You will work on hotels and prime residential projects initially.

THE COMPANY

My client is a large firm of PQS working on projects across most sectors.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be either a Chartered Quantity Surveyor keen to move up to an Associate QS role or be an Associate Quantity Surveyor perhaps with a smaller firm and keen to work onto high value projects for a large PQS.

You should be working for another firm of construction consultants / PQS and have a stable work record.

Previous experience of hotels and prime residential projects is required.

You will need to have a Degree or Diploma or similar ideally in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar and you will be MRICS or similarly qualified.

You should have excellent client facing skills. You must be self motivated and be able to work independently.

You will be able to do all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying from inception to completion of projects with expeirence of all pre and post contract work.

The initial projects require someone who is particularly good on post contract work to negotiate and agree variations etc. with the contractor and review post contract changes.

You will need to have experience of using the JCT contract.

Salary is in the region of £60000 to £80000 per annum plus pension, RICS fees, health insurance and discretionary bonus.
