It is an exciting time to be joining NYBCP as a Building Control Surveyor as new regulations are being implemented. You would become part of an enthusiastic and motivated team effectively delivering the Building Control function throughout North Yorkshire.

We are proud to be the first Local Authority Building Control Partnership in the UK; providing a flexible and modern building control service on behalf of Hambleton, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Scarborough and Selby Councils.  We have a wealth of experience and knowledge across all types of projects and construction techniques and encouraging innovative solutions.

We process Building Regulation applications under the provisions of Section 91 and 92 of the Building Act 1984.  Building Regulations exist to secure the health, safety, welfare and convenience of people in and about buildings, together with the conservation of fuel and power, and access and facilities for disabled people.

In addition to Building Regulations, we undertake work in relation to dangerous structures and demolition notifications across the Partnership area.
