Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager
£45,000 to £50,000 per annum | 12-month contract | Full-time (part-time considered)
MOLA is an experienced and innovative archaeology practice. We have been providing independent, professional heritage advice and services for over 40 years across the UK and internationally on schemes both large and small. Our commercial services are designed to help our development, infrastructure and construction sector clients to meet their planning process requirements swiftly and expertly, with the certainty and value they need.
The Quantity Surveyor & Commercial Manager is a new role and will be key to MOLA’s future development and success by identifying future opportunities, securing a continuous flow of new revenue while supporting project teams to ensure expected financial and commercial outcomes are achieved.
It is important that you have broad commercial skills and can demonstrate a deep understanding and experience of operating contracts (especially the NEC suite), as well as a strong background in estimating whilst understanding the commercial drivers, risk profiles and key success factors for MOLA’s clients.
The QS & Commercial Manager will ensure robust, accurate and innovative advice is delivered to clients to align with their needs and business objectives.
We are looking for people who have:
- experience of NEC3/4 forms of contracting with demonstrable experience in construction infrastructure projects
- excellent communication skills, who can easily engage with a wide audience including clients, the public, as well as the board of Trustees
- commercial awareness with a wide range of experience and skills in project controls, risk management, procurement, tendering, contract and cost administration and management
- the ability to work collaboratively as part of a part of multi-disciplinary team, is committed to results, highly organised and can demonstrate good time management.
