Due to the expansion of our property management department we are now looking to recruit a further property manager to join the Brighton team.

The position is open to applicants with preferably Associate or Membership level with RICS with a proven track record in commercial property management, or alternatively a graduate looking to progress their career in this field and complete their APC.

Consideration for the role would also be given to experienced residential block managers looking to transition into the commercial sector.

The successful candidate would be expected to take over the management of an existing established mainly commercial portfolio, although a full briefing of the various client’s requirements would be provided to ensure a smooth transition into this role.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for career development within a well-established and respected regional practice of Chartered Surveyors and commercial property advisers.

The Company

Established in 1996, Flude Property Consultants has been operating successfully for over 25 years in Sussex and across the South East and specialises in providing Agency, Professional and Property Management services to a variety of landlord and tenant clients.

Our head office is in central Brighton, where the property management team is based.  We also have offices in Chichester and Portsmouth with a total complement of approximately 30 staff and directors, and plans for further expansion in the region.

  • Asset management – The management of a portfolio of predominantly commercial properties to include industrial estates, multi-tenant office buildings, a retail park, parades of shops with flats above, high street retail, several doctors’ surgeries, etc

The Management Department

We have invested heavily in the expansion of our property management department over recent years and currently manage over 700 tenancies (predominantly commercial, with some mixed commercial and residential properties) with a rent-roll over £6,000,000 for which we undertake a mix of rent collection and service charge administration duties.

The department is currently comprised of 4 full time property managers and 3 accounts staff who service the department.

Property management is a key element of our business and complements the firm’s agency and professional services offered to clients. We are looking to expand this department with the right candidate.

  • Dealing with tenant applications for consent to assign, sublet and alter
  • Undertaking or arranging property inspections, ensuring tenants’ compliance with lease obligations
  • Ensuring the integrity of data on the property management systems and that appropriate hard and soft data and file management procedures are in place
