You will be dealing with senior staff in many departments, councillors, consultants, contractors, residents’ associations and residents, so will need excellent communication skills.

This post attracts a car user allowance, for which you must hold a current driving licence free of serious offences along with the use of a car insured for business purposes.

The Housing & Regeneration Department has a wide range of projects including the continued development of its ambitious new build programme which the major works section assists the estate regeneration teams to achieve.  The council has set itself a target to be carbon neutral by 2030 and this post is key to helping to achieve that and presents an exciting opportunity for professional development.

We recognise the importance of a good balance between work and home life so we do everything we can to accommodate flexible working including some working from home, compressed hours, job shares and other arrangements. Please just let us know in your application or at any stage throughout the process (and beyond) if these are options you’d like to explore.
