Commercial Property Manager required to join a specialist Property Management Company and work on a nationwide portfolio of mixed commercial assets.

Background

Fidum is a specialist property management company run by Simon Marshall and Richard Wynn Davies, created from the 2019 purchase of the Commercial Property Management business of Edgerley Simpson Howe LLP (ESH). Simon ran the team at ESH for 23 years and worked with Richard before setting up Fidum together.

Fidum has a wide-ranging client base including institutional investors, private equity funds, asset management houses, local authorities, developers and retailers. We manage an extensive portfolio of commercial property throughout the country, including trophy assets in various cities. Fidum have promising plans to expand our portfolio of instructions in the coming years and are looking for an ambitious individual who wants to be part of an exciting new venture from early on in our journey. We are currently investing is exciting technology to give us market leading management software.

The Role

Our office base is located in Cobham, Surrey and you will be working with our senior property management team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of commercial property assets with a strong retail warehouse bias. This will involve:

  • Preparing service charge budgets
  • Managing the service charge account
  • Appointing contractors
  • Supervising site works
  • Reporting to your senior surveyors
  • Direct client contact and reporting
  • High level of responsibility and ownership over your clients/portfolio
  • Liaising with tenants at head office and store level
  • Liaising with other members of the Fidum team – Facilities Managers and Accounts staff
  • Being responsible for the Health and Safety management of each property
  • Being responsible for all day to day aspects of your portfolio of properties

The Candidate

We are looking for responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication and inter-personal skills. The successful candidates will be team players who are able to prioritise workload, shoulder responsibility and work well under pressure. We are looking for an individual who can help drive the business forward by bringing clients, instructions and business ideas to the Company. Candidates should be able to demonstrate wide experience in the commercial property sector with a high level of client contact and responsibility. You will be expected to travel within the UK and be able to rapidly assume responsibility/ownership for your instructions. You should be computer proficient in Exel and Word and you should have strong written skills for the preparation of reports. You should ideally be MRICS qualified.
