Development Surveyor - Reading and Home based hybrid role
£40,000 - £50,000 + benefits package/bonus
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leader with an enviable name and client base.
The team specialises in the acquisition and disposal of development opportunities, providing development consultancy and valuation advice on a wide range and mix of properties. We are seeking a candidate with the ability and enthusiasm to focus on the continued growth of our business.
The ideal candidate will have an existing development valuation or consultancy background and be capable of
supporting, winning, leading and executing development related instructions across the region, experience in
the preparation of formal valuations is not strictly necessary.
The role
· To provide transactional and consultancy advice to both private sector clients and public sector
· Support the disposals and acquisitions of development opportunities
· Support pitches, targeting and winning new business and agreeing the scope of instructions / fees
· Conduct site search analysis and land assembly
· Technical ability to liaise with other design team professionals e.g. architects, QS, planning advisors
· Point of contact for clients and management of client relations
· Liaison with all departments and external development teams
Experience
· Ideally RICS qualified
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to manage several projects at once – organisational and prioritisation skills
· Strong knowledge of industry news and market developments
· Highly motivated, displaying energy, drive and commitment
· Strong knowledge of development and valuation
· Attention to detail and well organised
· Strong verbal, numerical and report writing skills
· Strong analytical skills with a strategic approach to problem solving
· Computer literate, particularly Excel, and financial modelling skills
· Exceptional customer relationship management
· Have an entrepreneurial outlook and always be mindful of opportunities to improve client service
· Able to work independently but strong team working skills are also essential
