Capital Project Manager - Somerset

Long-term Project Manager opportunity working for a client-side strategic partnership in Somerset

Your new company
You will join a public sector owned strategic partnership based in Somerset, a property consultancy who are focused on delivering education upgrades and improvements, as well as delivery of new build school programmes across the Somerset region.

Your new role
This is a unique and exciting opportunity which will involve overseeing effective procurement, design, development, contract award and contract management of often large and complex schemes. The scale of projects include include delivery of three new build schools and a swimming pool in Somerset.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position you'll need to have a background in client-side project delivery, ideally delivery of large commercial construction projects which could include hospitals, schools, leisure complex, other higher education or similar - you may have a project management, building surveying or quantity surveying background.

What you'll get in return
In return you'll be offered an initial 24 month contract, receiving a salary of £40,000 which will be paid to you as an hourly or daily rate on a PAYE basis, meaning annual leave and pension entitlements remain. Whilst this contract is scheduled to run for an initial 2 year period, further extension is highly likely.
