Permanent

Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Newcastle Upon Tyne (and currently working from home).  Could also be based from our Leeds or Maryport office.

Salary up to c£50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Building the right homes in the right places for our customers.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us in our new role of Lead Programme Manager, leading the programme management activity for the residential developments we're delivering across England and Scotland.  You’ll manage and control our grant programmes and investment gateway process across our acquisitions, new-build developments and disposals of affordable homes.  This is a fantastic opportunity to really make your mark, supporting us in our strategic priority to build the right homes, in the right places for our customers.

Managing and monitoring our programme of grant funded development activity, you’ll provide expertise and guidance to our colleagues on programme eligibility and grant funding implications as well as liaise with external funders including Homes England and the Greater London Authority. You’ll manage our processes that govern all major investments and be fantastic at building and maintaining excellent relationships with our funders, reporting on progress and identifying any risks to delivery of schemes.

You’ll be working for Mike, our Head of Procurement and Programme who is passionate about delivering a ‘Best in Class’ service to our Development colleagues.

A bit about you

You’ll be analytical with an eye for detail, have excellent report writing and presentations skills and the ability to analyse data using Microsoft Office and Excel, providing strategic oversight.  You’ll bring experience in the housing sector alongside a fantastic understanding of funding regimes. You’ll work collaboratively and really impress us with your ability to build and maintain great working relationships.  Ideally, you’ll have an understanding of residential development, but don’t worry if you don’t, as we’ll support you as you learn more about this.

A bit about us

Home Group is one of the UK’s largest developers of new homes and providers of houses for both affordable and private tenures.  We also provide long term integrated housing, health and social care.  We’re a strategic partner of Homes England and the Greater London Authority, working together to build the affordable homes our country needs.

We are proud that we we’re 7th in the UK’s Best Super Large Places to work, 18th in Stonewall’s Top 100 employers and are winners of the 2018 UK Housing Awards Development Programme of the Year, Silver Best House at the What House Awards 2018 (Bronze in 2017) and RESI Landlord of the Year 2016 and 2020.

Working flexibly

It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day taking advantage of our agile ways of working. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours.

The job for you?

Great, all you need to do now is upload your CV and covering letter. Easy as that!

We’re different at Home

We want you to be yourself here and value everything that makes you unique. So, whatever your race, sexuality, disability, religion, gender or even non-gender, we recognise and celebrate your differences. Together we make Home Group a great place to work.
