Would you like to work for a world-class independent property and construction consultancy? Hays are working in partnership with a prominent global consultancy to recruit for an Associate Director (Building Surveyor) to join their expansion into Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. Working in sectors across commercial, defence, education, healthcare, hotel, retail & residential, they continue to see great growth within the market and therefore a requirement for an Associate Director (Building Surveyor)

Your new role

You will join an established Multi-disciplinary Construction Consultancy, heading up the new Building Surveying division. You will build an experience team and deliver high quality services throughout the business across northern Ireland. In addition you will manage building surveying commissions, including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects for new builds, renovations, and maintenance works - from feasibility through to design, contract administration to handover and post completion reviews. You will be responsible for leading and managing teams working for you; ensuring that they are correctly fulfilling their project functions providing mentoring and coaching when required.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have 10+ years experience working within a Construction Consultancy environment. You will have a degree in Building surveying alongside being MRICS. It is essential that you have a detailed knowledge and practical experience of delivery of building surveying tasks alongside a clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts. In addition, you will have previous experience managing a team of surveyors.
