Role of the Project Quantity Surveyor:

Procurement of subcontract packagesAssembling enquiry documentationObtaining and analysing Subcontractor quotations and making recommendationsPreparing Subcontractor order documentationMaking payments to SubcontractorsCommercial control of subcontract packagesYou will support the main contract valuation preparationAssist in the monthly and quarterly forecast reporting processAgreeing final accounts for subcontract packagesSupport and contribute to Project risk and opportunity planningMaintaining a professional approach with clients and professional teams, sub-contractors and suppliersSeeking opportunities and development in design to improve the overall project deliveryManagement of client valuations and variations all the way through to agreeing the final account

Requirements of the Project Quantity Surveyor:

A demonstrable and proven track record working for a main contractor in the construction industry in a two stage tender environmentExperience in managing and working within a teamQualified at degree level and/or working towards MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent professional levelShould be comfortable working initially as a no.2 surveyor as part of a commercial team with a willingness to contribute to all project success factorsA positive, proactive individual that works collaboratively with colleagues and the client teamExperience of working with BIM and computer aided measurement toolsIn depth experience

Preparing Valuations, variations and final accountsManaging Sub-contract accounts & procurementWorking within Company Best Practice ProceduresUnderstand the implications of health and safety regulations
