Operations Manager- MOD

Operations Manager RAF base multiple building refurbishments


Working for a Maintenance and FM provider to the MOD. You will be based on MOD base and the role requires security clearance to BPSS level.


As Operation Manager you will have 4 direct reports at project manager level, who are responsible for delivery- on varied projects and refurbishments of all buildings /property on MOD bases . They are involved from taking the brief, pricing of works through to delivery on site. Works can include building fabric and M&E and up to £3million in value

As the Ops Manager, you will be experienced in managing a team of project managers with a joined up approach and confident to report to senior management level.

What you'll need to succeed
A strong background in managing people and similar maintenance / refurbishment projects, ideally within a similar background ( NHS, Public Sector, MOD) . It is essential that you have good IT skills and ideally are used to working via FM/ maintenance programming of work systems.( CAFM) or similar.You need to have a relevant qualification in a building trade or HNC or Degree in surveying or construction/ M&E



You will need to be manage and take total ownership of a problem and tackle things head on straight away in a confident manner. You will be dealing with the Client , and other Host Nation using the base and be able to cope with a demanding client.

you'll get in return
£350 - £450 per day per day this role is inside IR 35.
You must be able and willing to pass a BPSS security check
