Building Surveyor / Project Manager - Birmingham - Permanent - £47k+ Package
Your new company
You will be working for a small consultancy carrying out building surveying and project management work from their Birmingham office on a permanent basis.
Your new role
You will be managing and delivering small new build projects up to £2m in value, refurbishing and altering existing buildings (ideally you will have good experience in HE and FE education and health) and programming works for long term maintenance and statutory compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a good understanding and appreciation of building services will be vital to be able to identify and development your client briefs, lead and manage project teams, managing risks, protocols, feasibility and strategy. You will be responsible for establishing the project budget and programme, and coordinating legal consents, whilst advising on the selection and appointment of your project team. You will be managing the integration and flow of design information and construction schedules whilst advising on procurement strategies. You will need to conduct tender and contractor evaluation to establish time, cost, quality and function controls to monitor and report on project progress.
