I am currently recruiting for a Property Manager to support the Senior Property manager on a large commercial portfolio based in the North East. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and begin to manage their own portfolio in time.
My client is a well known government owned organisation whose purpose is to look after the Estate of one of the UK's largest public sector bodies ensuring that it is consistently fit for purpose so that the service providers can deliver excellent support into the region.
The main responsibilities will be to support the Senior Property Manager on lease transactions to convert occupiers to a formal contract, actively managing head lease events, actively managing sub lease events, reviewing and approving Landlord accounts payable activity, reviewing and approving occupier bills, taking accountability for asset management data for the buildings in your portfolio, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to strive towards managing an efficient and cost-effective portfolio that supports the needs of the organisation.
The successful Property Manager will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- A property related and relevant degree
- Experience in commercial estate management
- Be a positive and driven individual
- Be comfortable and proficient in engaging and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Be comfortable managing budgets / invoices
This role offers a salary of £28,000-£32,000 (experience dependant) alongside a £1800 car user allowance. A flexible approach to working where you may need to travel to sites, all of which you will be able to claim expenses for. Support through the APC pathway is available.
