A Salary of £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience

The Elmhurst Foundation acquired Combe Grove in 2017 to fulfil its charitable aims.

· To develop understanding of health and well being

· To create 90 perpetual apprenticeships

· To share capacity and knowledge with the local community.

Combe Grove offers therapeutic fasting, and wellness stays at its inspirational location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Bath providing guests with an opportunity to rest, restore and reset in nature.

Combe Grove is an innovative, dynamic, and friendly business, wrapped within a charitable trust, highly focused on delivering its charitable objectives. Due to the expansion of the business, there is an exciting opportunity for an Estate Manager to join the team.

Combe Grove is seeking a dynamic person who has a passion for the natural world and the built environment, a keen interest in health and wellbeing and is determined to help young people make the most of life’s opportunities. The role requires land governorship and development of the biodiversity of the estate whilst becoming self-sufficient in food production and maintaining the natural habitat. The estate includes listed and modern buildings and plans to develop and improve these require a person who can manage these works relying wherever possible on traditional craftsmanship.

The Estate team- a Land Manager, 5 team leaders and 20 Apprentices and volunteers. Their training, development and guidance is an essential part of this role.

The Estate of course supports the rest of the Combe Grove organisation and the successful candidate will work closely with both the General Manager and all of the Management Team: a proactive approach and ‘can-do’ attitude are critical. The role will be responsible for all legal compliance required on the estate, such as Health and Safety.

Candidates must have proven skills in estate management (ideally 10 years), both in land and listed building works, be able to demonstrate leadership and be confident in all aspects of business management.
