Hays are currently working with a sustainable energy infrastructure company that connects consistent low-cost renewable generation with high value markets. We have been asked to assist them in recruiting a Project Manager for a huge project that has the potential to last the next 10 years.

Your new role
This is a management role which will have the responsibility to plan, prepare and execute multiple projects. The projects are multi-discipline and will include the planning of construction traffic (including personnel) to and from building sites delivering construction materials and the raw materials and commodities (by road, rail and sea).

The role will include liaison with the accounting shared service centres (over all factory sites), with the procurement department and the logistics department.. The role will evolve from an individual contributor role to a team manager role when the responsibilities can be delegated to team members as more project managers are brought on board.


What you'll need to succeed

• Undergraduate degree
• Proactive, self-starter
• Strong project management skills (ideally with a formal qualification such as APMP, PMQ, PMP or Prince 2)
• Good communication skills
• Strong commercial acumen
• MS Office experience including MS Project
• Ability to manage and lead a team
• 2 - 5 years of experience in a project management environment
