Description

The aim of the organisation is to become carbon net zero within five years. In doing so we will make society greener and more equitable for everyone. You will drive best practice in sustainability, focusing on environmental, ESG governance and reporting. You will help build the picture, articulate the company's journey, and shape tomorrow's story.

Key Responsibilities:

    Establishing and managing a governance framework for sustainability; Driving regional and local reductions on carbon emissions (office and business travel); Providing guidance on climate change and sustainability matters to the business, including monitoring the sustainability industry for developments and competitor analysis; Delivering best practice in the form of reports (annual sustainability reports, TCFD & ARA) and maintaining the sustainability section on webpages and social media; Delivering best practice through written reports and articles for and on behalf of management;
    Preparing annual submissions for ESG credit rating agencies and drive global improvements. Business partnering to procurement, IT and facility teams as a SME on sustainability, including engaging with suppliers. Managing a small team including deliverables, mentoring and career guidance; Assisting with the wider sustainability team as necessary; Maintaining and updating the sustainability procedures.

Profile

    At least eight years work experience within a Sustainability function, ideally with an impressive academic background; A strong interest in sustainability and is keen to develop into a future leader within the industry; Customer Centric Attitude
    Experience in managing and developing a team A need to be highly organised, juggle multiple deadlines and work under pressure to tight deadlines; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Willingness to assist colleagues in busy times.

Job Offer

c.£95,000 base salary + Car Allowance + Private Medical + Flexi Benefits
