The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.
The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate. Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.
The Council has an opportunity for an MRICS/FRICS qualified Estate Surveyor or a Graduate with a degree in Estate Management or similar working toward completion of the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence to join a team responsible for the day to day management of a large and varied property portfolio valued in excess of £1 billion
The successful candidate will undertake lease renewals, rent review and lettings of commercial property, asset valuations, day to day property management and provide advice to service areas across the council in connection with their property holdings and related projects.
The post is based in Bradford City Centre however flexible working is available after a qualifying period.
You should be fluent in English and have a good understanding of estate management surveying preferable in a local authority environment.
Starting salary is dependent on experience.
