Your new company
A South Yorkshire local authority are recruiting an Interim Estates Surveyor to work in their Asset Management Team which manages their retail, commercial and industrial property portfolio.

Your new role
The position is for approximately 3 months although it may be extended longer than this. Your role will require you to assist with the management of the investment portfolio of retail, commercial and industrial property. You will also need to identify assets for disposal and undertake their sale working with other sections in the authority. As well as this you will undertake the purchase of capital assets on behalf of the authority including recommendations and negotiations, ensuring properties are expeditiously let.

What you'll need to succeed
- BSc Degree (General Practice Surveying).
- RICS Membership (desirable not essential)
- Knowledge and experience of asset management practices, letting and maintaining properties.
- Knowledge and experience of different methods of disposal and acquisition of assets
- Knowledge and experience of property valuations and their completion.
- Knowledge and experience of performance analysis of properties and advising on improvement or disposal.
- Ability to self-manage and work to deadlines
- Experience of working in a local authority.
