An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading construction consultancy firm in Oxford. You will have the opportunity to take charge or exciting projects within the healthcare, science and education sectors. You will have the opportunity to join a close-knit team who encourage and support your development!

The Oxford office in the centre of excellence where these sectors are concerned. There is an impressive pipeline of complex, large projects ranging up to £250m.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

• Undertake a supporting role on small projects or work with a senior, associate or director on a significant component of a larger project.
• Work on the whole project life cycle from initial inception and business case development, through the design, procurement process, site delivery, commissioning phase and defects management.

Requirements of the Project Manager:

• Understanding of building technology
• Site experience
• Working knowledge of the difference between different forms of procurement.
• Working knowledge of the HSE issues and legal obligations of parties and ability to facilitate discussions on these topics.
• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
• Experience within the science or healthcare sectors and the local construction market.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Experience of Risk Management
• Ideally working towards chartership
• Ideally working towards APM affiliation
• Prince 2 or MSP desirable.
