Job Details

Tired of London life?

Want to get out of the hustle and bustle?

Or is that commute just getting longer and longer… especially with all of the post pandemic returning traffic on the roads.

Well, imagine this…

A 500-acre campus, a house onsite and only 20 miles outside London, your own slice of countryside living.

What job could possibly offer all of this I hear you ask...?

Well, as Head of Maintenance, you’ll play a key role in the Estates Team, responsible for the site at Haileybury School.

Leading an in-house team of 14, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of maintenance and minor projects onsite.  The annual maintenance budget will fall to you, and you’ll be working alongside the Estates Bursar on development plans for maintenance refurbishment and construction plans across the estate.

Alongside your onsite team, you will also have responsibility for contractors and external consultants.  You will be continuously monitoring the quality of buildings alongside creating PPM schedules for the properties, M&E services and plant & equipment within the school.

You will work with the Operations Manager to monitor waste management services, as well as keeping up to date with the school’s health & safety and compliance regulations.

What do you need to be successful? Experience both in a senior management capacity and a fast-paced operational facilities role.

It goes without saying, you will be more than looked after at the school as the benefits package includes that all important free lunch, a generous pension and of course the crown jewel, the house, where the grounds themselves are your garden.

If you’re in Maintenance and want more from your role, get in touch below and we can discuss. Don’t worry if your CV is not completely up to date either, look me up on LinkedIn (Bekah Pauley) or call me and we can go from there.

Oyster Partnership have partnered exclusively with Haileybury School. Any direct or third-party applications will be forwarded to Oyster Partnership.

Haileybury is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  Applicants for the above post must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers, prohibition checks and a criminal record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service. Any offer of employment will be subject to the successful completion of these background screening checks. Further information (including our policy statement on the recruitment of ex-offenders) is set out in the Staff Recruitment and Selection Policy enclosed.
