The key responsibilities of the Maintenance Surveyor role include:

• Carrying out property inspections, providing technical advice to the team, carrying out specifications of jobs, providing costings and recommendations and producing condition reports
• Supporting Maintenance Managers and Contract Supervisors by carrying out the more detailed inspections and surveys to manage the defects and latent defect issues
• Creating a positive impact on residents lives, and be passionate and act with determination to resolve resident complaints and issues
• Working collaboratively with other teams including Housing Services, Direct Maintenance, Service Delivery Teams, Leasehold Management, Revenue, Service Charge Team, Supported living, Caretakers and Development among others

Profile

The successful candidate for the Maintenance Surveyor role will:

• Have experience working within a maintenance, social housing environment with strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Hold technical Knowledge of a wide range of stock, including knowledge of landlord and tenants act and section 20 process
• Have extensive Knowledge of Building Maintenance and diagnostic techniques, and also some knowledge in new build techniques
• Hold a surveying qualification or similar experience
• Be easily commutable on a daily basis across South London
