Based on the stunning island of St Mary’s, with an office overlooking Porthcressa Beach and St Mary’s Harbour, an exciting vacancy has arisen for a Deputy Land Steward to manage all aspects of the Duchy Estate’s portfolio on the Isles of Scilly.
This role includes managing almost 700 let properties across the whole archipelago; comprising of a mix of residential property, agricultural land and farms and commercial premises.
Responsible for a small team, you will manage departmental workload; identify and resolve property maintenance issues with the support of the Building Surveying department and liaise with tenants and other third parties on all estate management issues.
As well as representing the Duchy’s wider interests in this unique community, you will be responsible for the local office implementation of the Estate’s strategic objectives and operational plan including the delivery of our Net Zero Carbon and Natural Capital objectives. You will identify new business opportunities and under-take a range of rental and licence reviews of residential, agricultural, and commercial property.
You are a qualified Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) with at least 5 years PQE who has integrity and professionalism and a strong empathy with the objectives of the Duchy of Cornwall and the implementation of the Duchy’s policies.
