Long term freelance opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a public sector estate in Cornwall

Your new company
As an experienced Project Management professional you will join a public sector estate based in the Cornwall region, assisting with the end-to-end delivery of a wide range of construction projects, working on behalf of the client. Your new company are one of the largest employers in the region, and you'll be part of delivering a 10 year strategic capital programme across three sites in the region.

Your new role
As a Project Manager you will take ownership of capital construction projects from inception to completion, although most projects are currently in or nearing delivery phase. Your role will involve supervising contractors to ensure works are being delivered to the required specification, overseeing construction health & safety requirements, and chairing project progress meetings with other estates stakeholders and a wider professional team, including architects, engineers and surveyors.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this post you will need to be able to demonstrate an excellent background across capital project delivery, ideally acting on behalf of the client in a role, although this is not essential. You'll need to have excellent construction technique and process understanding and effective communication skills.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a contract with initial duration of up to three months, however this his highly likely to extend beyond this point. If you are interested in considering a more permanent arrangement then this opportunity could also be available after the interim period.
