Salary: £60k - £70k

This is an opportunity to worth with an absolute legend of a man and a very good QS that has recently joined a fantastic medium sized consultancy to set up their QS arm of the business.

The business splintered from a large consultancy 20 years ago and have made a big name for themselves in the PM world in that time – The chap in question used to work with the guys that set up the company and it’s a great story that they have reunited and brought him in.

There are several great selling points to this opportunity:

1. You will have a very strong mentor – someone who will push you to climb the ladder and give you the skills you need get there
2. This company have one of the most lucrative bonus structures I know of in London, you have clear targets on what you need to deliver to hit your bonus – the Assistant QS made £10k this year
3. You will have some good fun along the way – the Director certainly enjoys getting out for a few beers at lunch most Fridays + any opportunity to go and dine with his clients he will take, and he will be looking to bring you with him!

This is an opportunity for someone that wants to do more than just deliver, yes to start with it will be a delivery role but you will act as the number 2 to the Director and he will help you grow into a leader, if you want to learn the business development side then you will get that chance, if you want to lead a team and manage people then that’s the idea for this role as the Director will look to grow the team under you.

There is one other QS in his team currently, a young chap (also a legend) who followed the current Director from their last consultancy.

Projects are a good mix, currently most of the work is Commercial, Residential or Industrial schemes, fit-out, new-build and refurbs, ranging anywhere from £2m - £80m.

You have the diversity in projects and will have full autonomy on them, you will also have direct contact with the client and given certain accounts to manage.

Salary: £60k - £70k + Bonus (you would be looking to make £10k - £15k on the bonus, like I said there is a lucrative structure, not discretionary).

The business is based near Blackfriars, and they have around 30 staff in total currently, all very outgoing people that like doing things together outside of work.

There will be some flexible working arrangements moving forward although in honesty they do like having people in the office.
