Freelance Building Surveyor

Building Surveyor required on a freelance basis by a busy consultancy based in Belfast

Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, an established and busy construction consultancy based in Belfast, to recruit a Building Surveyor on a temporary contract / freelance basis to assist with a peak in workload over the next few months.

Our client's Building Surveying team provides professional consultancy services to a wide range of sectors including education, commercial property, residential and public bodies.

Your new role
The Building Surveying team specialise in providing proactive advice throughout the life cycle of a building, including:

Acquisition Building Surveys and Technical Due Diligence;
Building Condition Surveys;
Planned Maintenance and Life Cycle Costing;
Dilapidations (Landlord and Tenant);
Schedules of Condition;
Defects Analysis.

Work in the areas above is available immediately for an experienced individual who can provide freelance support.

What you'll need to succeed
You should be an experienced Building Surveyor with a track record of working on commercial projects across the areas outlined above. You will be self-motivated and able to work independently, largely managing your own workload.

What you'll get in return
A competitive hourly rate is available which will be paid weekly by Hays for all hours worked via BACS transfer.

The client is offering a good degree of flexibility and is open to hiring an individual to work 5 days per week or on a part-time basis to fit around your existing workload.
