Your new company
As an asbestos professional you will join a company who are responsible for the management, maintenance and continuous development of over 30,000 homes across the Somerset and wider Somerset region, focused on providing quality and affordable homes which are maintained to a high standard. You will have an opportunity to visit and survey properties of various ages and types across the local region, and will join a team who share both a fair and inclusive culture.
Your new role
You will use your asbestos experience to undertake asbestos surveys in residential homes across the south west region. Your surveys will mainly involve management, checking and detailing presence of known asbestos in properties. You'll need to have a keen eye for detail, and be able to report on any unusual deficiencies or areas of concern in properties. As well as undertaking and submitting the survey, you will need to liaise with tenants to arrange for visit times to take place, communicating with them effectively at all stages throughout the survey process.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position you will need to have previous experience undertaking Asbestos Management Surveys, and will require a P402 accreditation. A P405 would also be beneficial although this is not a requirement for the role. Further to this, you'll need to be able to demonstrate experience within the property sector, specifically around defect analysis. You'll need to have excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate with tenants and property residents.
