THE ROLE

I am seeking ambitious Quantity Surveyors / Cost Managers to join an international firm of consultants in the central / south east London area.

You will join a team working on high value projects in the private sector for hotels, high rise residential, senior living and offices.

This is an exciting role working on high value and sometimes landmark construction projects generally valued from around £50m to £500m.

You will work as a Project Surveyor / Cost Manager working as part of a team.

You will be able to develop strong relationships with clients and members of your team.

You will be involved in all pre and post contract duties including pre-contract estimating, procurement, contract administration, cost reporting, final account resolution etc.

THE COMPANY

My client is an international firm with a large office in London, another office in the North of England, offices in the EU and also further afield.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager who has a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or similar subject and be keen to join a forward thinking company with a great client list and high value challenging projects.

You will need from around two to seven years QS experience - experience could have been gained whilst doing your Degree or post graduate, and you should be keen to either become chartered or be recently qualified.

You should be working for another firm of construction consultants / PQS and have a stable work record.

You should have excellent communication skills and be keen to work as part of a dynamic team.

You need to be experienced in both pre and post contract work, to make sure that the projects remain on budget from design to completion.

You should be able to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Salary is very from c. £35000 to around £60000 per annum according to experience plus pension, good bonus, RICS fees etc. and excellent prospects.
