Hays are working in partnership with recognised public body to recruit a Programme Manager to work within their Property & Estates division on a permanent basis. Your new role
You will lead and manage a team of Project Managers within the Property Projects Department in the development and delivery of a broad range of property projects that are identified in the Capital Plan. You will effectively manage a sub-section of the Property and Estates Project Delivery Team, in addition to managing performance, sickness and absence within the team. You will be tasked with planning the programme, in conjunction with the Project Assurance Office, and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action. Alongside leading and managing the external and internal stakeholder expectations, this includes statutory authorities, local community groups and interested political groups, you will ensure effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing on planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards. As a Programme Manager you will be tasked with managing the programmes budget on behalf of the Senior Programme Manager, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits, ensuring the delivery of projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements.
What you'll need to succeed
This role will require you to have 3 years Project Management experience in the successful management and delivery of major projects and programming works in construction. You must have a track record of managing budgets and reporting on these within a property project office. You will have a degree level qualification in a Construction or Building Engineering related discipline alongside possess or willing to work towards Chartered membership within the Construction industry. It is essential you have experience in NEC Contracts
