Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our Client: Independent multi-disciplinary consultancy who have offices throughout the UK working with clients in both the public and private sectors.

Projects: Local Authority, Commercial, Education, Residential and Retail

Company Headcount: 2000 - 2500

Role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Work within a team and provide a range of Quantity Surveying/Employer's Agent duties from project inception through to completion.Supporting the client's procurement strategies, including Construction Management.Site presence as required by specific project deliverablesPrepare Cost Plans/Estimates/Bills of Quantities/Tender DocumentsProvide post contract Quantity Surveying/Employer's Agent services.Prepare data and reports to timescales in a format required by line management/clients.Assist in the mentoring and development of junior staff

Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Qualified with a BSc (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.MRICS qualified Hold a broad contact and knowledge base of local markets and will be able to demonstrate a track record of supporting of the generation of repeat business.Extensive experience with both private and public sector clients on major projects and a working knowledge of NEC forms of contract.Commercially aware, work well as part of a team and demonstrate the people management skills to support and mentor where required.Experience across all bands in the Education sector, particularly Higher and Further.A knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and overall construction costs coupled with a competent knowledge of a range of project procurement options.IT skills, such as Office, Outlook, BIM / CAD measure, Cost Planning software e.g. Cost-X.
