Hays Property & Surveying are delighted to be working with a central London charitable trust who are seeking a new Head of Property & Estates. The Trust is looking for an MRICS Chartered Surveyor with experience of driving value and revenue from a mixed-use diverse portfolio along with the ability to manage a team of six direct reports.

Your new company

This is a unique opportunity to join a charitable trust who were established by a local community, the Trust is responsible for a commercial property portfolio of over 20 acres, 100+ tenants across c.60 properties. The Trust are looking for a dynamic property professional who can lead the organisation through their recent restructure working closely with the Chief Executive to coordinate a lasting property strategy that will maintain rental income.

Your new role

The purpose of the role will be to work collaboratively with the Chief Executive and other board members and take full responsibility for the Trusts estates strategy, you will be the property portfolio lead and manage the property & facilities teams. The Trust rely heavily on the rental income generated by their property assets so the Head of Property will be responsible for delivering increased rental return, reducing the vacancy rates, and introducing a new estates management strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will ideally be MRICS Qualified, hold experience of managing a diverse property portfolio within the public or third sectors. This is a rounded general practice role that will require property management, asset management, leasing, landlord & tenant, legal and facilities experience. This is a senior leadership role within the Trust therefore strong people leadership skills along with the ability to engage with key stakeholders will be imperative.
