Assistant Quantity Surveyor

THE ROLE

I am seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Cost Managers to join a small friendly firm of PQS in London.

You will work closely with a senior QS on a large residential project valued c. £15m and also help others in the office with other projects as required.

Projects are in the UK and in Europe and include residential, hotels and other hospitality projects.

You will be involved in all pre and post contract duties including pre-contract estimating, procurement, contract administration, cost reporting, final account resolution etc.

THE COMPANY

My client is a friendly firm of construction consultants with their main office in London and small offices in Europe.

They provide clients both with cost management and project management services.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager who has a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or similar subject and be keen to join a friendly firm of PQS who will support you to become chartered with the RICS.

Ideally you will have gained some work experience as a Quantity Surveyor - preferably with a firm of construction consultants / PQS. This may have been during a year out or you may have been working whilst doing your degree / diploma etc. My client may also consider a graduate without experience.

You should have excellent communication skills and be keen to work as part of a team.

Salary is very negotiable according to experience but probably in the region of c. £28000 to around £36000 per annum according to experience plus pension, RICS support etc.
