Senior Project Manager (Consultancy)

Peace Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading large multi national, multi disciplinary consultancy in Edinburgh, a Senior Project Manager.

Our client is currently working on some of Scotland most iconic projects, they are looking for ambitious Project/Senior Project Managers who have a reputation for providing high-quality PM services in a consultancy environment. The successful candidate will be working very closely with Directors of the business to successfully manage and deliver Education and Healthcare projects, you will be expected to provide client-side PM support during all stages of a projects lifecycle through to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Primary interface with new and existing clients
• Client-side project management, including stakeholder, schedule and contract management
• Lead in the delivery of project management commissions taking responsibility for their successful outcome
• Good working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts or similar, and commercial awareness
• Develop strong collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders and members of the multi-disciplinary project team
• Apply project management techniques to achieve the efficient delivery of team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
• Oversee the co-ordination and quality control of information produced by the project team prior to issue
• Adopt and promote company values within project delivery and in the workplace
• Promote health and safety within company and with our clients and partners, ensuring standards and targets are achieved within project delivery
• Provide line management and mentoring to all staff members reporting to you and ensure that they have current and relevant training
• Participate in business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, ensuring that these are identified and acted upon
• Management of procurement: documentation, appraisals and negotiations
• Collaborative management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Qualifications:

• Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management/ Engineering /Construction /Quantity Surveying Degree  
• Chartered Status with the ICE, RICS, CIOB, RIBA, APM or other equivalent institution 
• APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation) 
• NEC3 / NEC4 Accredited PM preferred
• Valid UK driving licence
