Description

The key responsibilities of the Building Surveyor (Housing Association - Planned Works) role will provide a professional building consultancy service across a varied planned maintenance programme

General responsibilities will include:

• Scoping buildings by completing a ground level survey & putting together a report for recommended works, and then validate the scope to include high level repairs
• Inspect and monitor works in progress throughout
• Complete interim inspection reports
• Assist with queries from cost consultants and work with them to ensure residents receive value for money
• Ensure works are within section 20 consultation limits and where not ensuring appropriate action is taken in conjunction with our Leasehold team
• Complete a handover report and sign off the works as complete, and issuing payment certificates for invoices to be paid

Profile

The successful candidate for the Building Surveyor (Housing Association - Planned Works) role will:

• Have strong experience managing planned and cyclical works
• Be experienced in carrying out risk assessments, site inspections, preparing surveys, cost estimates and feasibility studies
• Be a confident communicator with strong people skills
• Live an easily commutable distance from Central London on a daily basis
