Why would you need to be any of these words?

Well, as the new Head of Grounds for Cheltenham Ladies College, the above is paramount to success.

With 36 acres of grounds to look after you will be joining a large Estates Team, who strive for excellence in everything they do. The school has 9 boarding houses, 3 quads, a health and fitness centre & the main college, so you will not be short of things to do.

You will be managing an indirect Team of 6, with 2 people reporting directly into you. Your role will be based on forward-thinking, you will need to create a ppm strategy and deliver this inline with the schools H&S policies.

You will need to love your horticulture; the gardens have multiple borders which need attention to detail & are the first thing you see when you walk onto site, a qualification or experience in a horticulture role is needed. You will also need to have experience in budget management, as you’re looking after your own department.

Some experience in Sports grounds management is also useful as the school has multiple different sports areas that need tending too.

As mentioned above, the role needs someone who can take the gardens ‘under their wing’, someone, maybe… like you, who can see into the future and create the outcome.
