This role is to lead and manage the Asset Management team within the Corporate Landlord structure and to play a lead role and take responsibility for the management and development of the organisation's property portfolio, particularly in relation to the valuation, disposal and acquisition of properties.
My client is a Local Authority based in the West Midlands with a large commercial portfolio.
The key responsibilities of the Estates Team Leader will be:
for the delivery of an efficient and effective asset management service, including strategic implementation of both national and local legislation and policy
Supporting the Property Manager in the management of the organisation's property portfolio including negotiating leases, rent reviews for land / premises, review of charging policies and collection of rents and debts.
Ensuring that the property portfolio is appropriate and suitable for the needs of service delivery across directorates in accordance with the Strategic Asset Plan
Responsibility to continually seek to maximise the efficiency of the asset portfolio, supporting the aspirations of the Corporate Landlord and policies of the organisation.
The successful candidate will be:
Degree and Post Graduate Qualification in Property Management or equivalent
Chartered Membership of RICS
RICS Registered Valuer Status desirable
Significant experience of successfully managing and delivering a property portfolio in relation to valuation, disposal and acquisition
