Chartered Quantity Surveyor

THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor from just chartered to join a firm of multi-disciplinary consultants based in London SE1 area.

You will join as a Project Surveyor and should be able to run your own projects.

Projects are valued from £500,000 to c. £150m for private sector residential projects, healthcare and education projects in the public sector.

Projects will be both for new build and for refurbishment and also masterplanning.

You will need to have been working for a firm of PQS or multi-disciplinary consultants.

My client is fairly flexible about work location and you can work from home for around 3 days per week with a couple of days in the office as required.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a firm of multi-disciplinary construction consultants employing over 150 people.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with a Degree or Diploma or MSc in Quantity Surveying plus you will need to be MRICS qualified.

You will be from just chartered level upwards.

You should be working either for another firm of quantity surveying consultants or with a multi-displinary firm of consultants.

You will need to have experience of doing Bills of Quantities, Cost Planning, Cost Management, Feasibility estimating, development appraisals, procurement advice, risk management, value engineering, whole life costing, contract administration and all post contract duties.

You should have good client facing skills and be able to deal with people at all levels.

Salary is from £40000 up to £50000 per annum depending on experience plus pension contribution, RICS fees, private health insurance, life assurance, discretionary bonus plus 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) and another day off on your birthday!
