Carriera has been entrusted with a fantastic opportunity for a facilities manager to join a unique client in Oxfordshire. This client is an end user, who is developing their leisure and innovation hub in Oxfordshire to bring together the best and most innovative minds their industry has to offer.

Our client owns a large estate, which currently includes 45 buildings and a significant development pipeline, with current planned projects being carried out over the next 15 years. The estate is used by specialist engineers, varying businesses, has accommodation and on occasion is open to the public for events.

This is a client-side role so to be considered you must be facilities manager who has good soft and hard services experience from a client's aspect, rather than consultant or operator.


  • Contract reviews and negotiations for suppliers and services.
  • Deliver an annual maintenance schedule across the estate, cyclical and planned.
  • Preparing an annual service charge and capex budgets.
  • Manage and develop all health & safety and operational plans.
  • Management of a small team and external contractors, driving value and best practices.
  • Respond to tenant enquiries and support their needs in a timely manner.
  • Manage utilities providers and ensure all testing and certification is carried out across the estate.
  • Attend and contribute to the property team meetings.

You will be an experienced facilities manager, who is used to working in a complex environment where the user is carefully considered. You may come from a trades or degree background, ideally you will have some professional affiliation. What is important is your understanding of building services, the management and maintenance of them, running an operational estate and managing all services and suppliers.
