Associate Director – Planning & Development – County Durham

Our client is looking for someone with expert knowledge and the ability to provide first-class service to join them as an Associate Director. They pride themselves on their reputation and track record and are therefore willing to provide big rewards for a top-class Surveyor.

Details

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
  • Hybrid role - 2 days at home and 3 days in the office

Duties

  • Working closely with the director to help progress the current pipeline of sites
  • Expanding the current portfolio into South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Cumbria, and Lancashire
  • Expand the client base to include acting for developers and promoters
  • Develop and deliver Natural Capital Opportunities associated with built development in all its forms
  • Regular liaison with clients and other stakeholders throughout the entire process
  • Oversee the project teams including liaison with external consultants
  • Initiating and leading on development strategies
  • The negotiation of option/promotion agreements; planning conditions and S106 agreements; land values and abnormal costs
  •  Leading and keeping updated on market research to predict future development opportunities
  • Initiating new projects

You

  • Chartered surveyor with a minimum of 5 years PQE
  • Proven experience in planning and development, project coordination and land value negotiations
  • Environmental sustainability experience would be advantageous
  • Driven and constructive with the ability to multitask
  • Experience of project managing residential and/or commercial developments
  • Quantity surveying/cost consultancy experience would introduce new skills to the team
  • Experience of local plan making to predict future opportunities
  • Team player and a leader
