An opportunity exists to join a growing and vibrant independent surveying firm as part of continued structured growth. Experience and skills

  1. Chartered status e.g. MRICS / FRICS
  2. Surveying/construction related degree, HND or Proven experience
  3. Working knowledge of building defects, forensic analysis and appropriate remedial measures
  4. Knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration
  5. Understanding and knowledge of current and best practice repair techniques and products
  6. Ability to undertake Building Surveying services including, but not limited to: - Planned Preventative Maintenance reports

- Schedule of Conditions

- Preparation of Specifications

- Report writing - Knowledge of CDM and Party wall legislation

Personal skills should include:

- Proven problem solving

- Good organisational skills

- Ability to prioritise tasks

- Calm under pressure

- Ability to deliver outstanding customer service

- Excellent communication skills

- Sound working knowledge of IT and common Microsoft packages, (Word / Excel)

- Competence in programming software

- The ability to work in an office, on site, as well as manage and plan your own workload whilst delivering professional services

- Experience of working to tight timescales and meeting client specific SLA’s

- Business Development and Client Care awareness.  

Travel around home counties and occasionally further afield is essential.

A full UK (or equivalent) Driving License


The candidate must demonstrate a proactive attitude, be self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible, with ability to balance different tasks ensuring deadlines are met whilst maintaining highest levels of accuracy. 

This role will suit a surveyor looking to progress their career by contributing to the company work ethic, taking ownership, completing commissions while seeking new business opportunities to increase turnover and gaining equity within the business.
