Estates Surveyor/ MRICS/ Glasgow/ Flexible Working/ Vacancy

Your new company
Hays are working with an excellent client-side organisation to assist them recruiting an Estates Surveyor into their Glasgow Team. You will support in the day to day asset management of the property portfolio, which includes operational, destinations and investment properties, third party trading agreements, ground leases, surface water agreements, wayleaves and omnibus agreements. The property portfolio consists of approx. 350 properties incorporating circa 300 legal agreements. This role will have an emphasis on Landlord and Tenant negotiations, property management and leasing.

Your new role

  • Asset management of the property portfolio- day to day property management of all operational and investment property including property acquisitions and disposals, marketing, lease negotiations, rent reviews, rating, insurance and dilapidations.
  • Property maintenance - supporting the Facilities and Estates Managers in ensuring the portfolio adheres to statutory compliance legislation and co-ordination of day to day maintenance and repairs.
  • Minor project works - supporting minor projects including property refurbishments, including assessing project viability, liaising with Facilities and Project Managers to prepare cost appraisals and providing support throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • Third Party Works - supporting the Third Party Works process and co-ordinating works requests, undertaking site inductions and liaising with other stakeholders
  • Third Party Asset Management - day to day leasing and property management of third party properties including regular board reporting and debt management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree educated in relevant discipline
  • Membership of RICS or working towards APC
  • Property Management / Landlord and Tenant experience is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage own workload and prioritise tasks
  • Able to work to targets and deadlines
  • Current UK driving licence essential

The role is offered on a permanent basis, and is based at the head office in Glasgow, although regular travel is required. The company offers flexible working, a generous annual leave entitlement of 34 days per annum rising to 39 after 5 years service (inc. public holidays), enhanced company sick pay and contributory pension scheme with an up to 10% matched employer contribution.
