Job Details
Hays Property and Surveying are seeking a a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join an independent construction consultancy based in Bournemouth.
The business are a well established local disciplinary practice who offer QS / Cost Consultancy, Project Management and Building Surveying services to clients across the South Coast. Typically, clients will range from developers, occupiers and commercial landlords, to housing associations and organisations from within the Public Sector.
Due to an increasing demand in workloads the business is now looking to grow the team in form of a Graduate Quantity Surveyor. The role will be based within their Bournemouth office however, the business offers a formal hybrid working policy, so the opportunity to work from home is available.
Your new role
As the Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting the senior team with a range of pre and post contract QS / Cost Consultancy services across numerous construction projects. Projects will varied from multi-million pound new builds, through to refurbishments and extensions.
Whilst you develop your professional skill set, the business will provide significant support for working towards your APC, gaining exposure to all aspects of professional quantity surveying services.
What you'll need to succeed
- A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Self-drive, personable, professional and eager to learn
- Those part way through their APC are highly desirable
- Local knowledge of South Coast or ties to the region
