Our client is one of London's wealthiest individuals based in Mayfair who has instructed us to search for a Property Director to work on an exciting property portfolio of c.£350m, which is invested in various locations in the UK. As an ambassador of this business we have assisted in recruiting some key hires, adding to the ongoing performance and success of this client.
Your new role
This is a fantastic career opportunity for an experienced commercial MRICS qualified chartered surveyor to effectively manage the investment strategy and implement decisive asset management business plans. Therefore the Family Office requires a Property Director who will work closely with the owner and the rest of the team, taking responsibility for all aspects of the portfolio from acquisition right through to asset management and ultimately disposal. The Property Director will report to the owner and will work closely with the Financial Director and the Chief Investment Officer.The investment strategy of the business is to maximise the value of the assets through planning and development: redeveloping and repurposing existing properties, increasing density, improving rental and lease income, and constructing new-build assets appropriate for their location.The portfolio's strategy is to focus on locations with potential for regeneration and redevelopment with high demand for office, residential, retail and mixed-use developments. Historically Favoured locations include the London region, Brighton, Oxford, Bristol and Cambridge. Assets in the London region will have values up to £100m, and those in the regions £20m - £30m, keeping the right amount of liquidity in the portfolio. There are currently mixed-use schemes under development, totalling c.150,000 sq.ft.
What you'll need to succeed
MRICS Chartered SurveyorThe successful applicant will have the ability and experience to manage a diverse commercial investment portfolio demonstrating a track record of driving and improving capital value. Prior experience managing a similar portfolio within a property company, investment firm or family office is essential, a hands-on pragmatic approach will be required and the ability to work closely with key stakeholders. Our client is looking for a rounded commercial surveyor with the ability to manage acquisitions, disposals, development, leasing, L&T instructions and managing the outsourced managing agents, Knight Frank.
