Student Accommodation/Co-Living - Surveyor/Senior Surveyor

My clients’ student accommodation and co-living valuation team is looking for several surveyors to join their market leading team. You will form part of a team of 16, which includes qualified valuers, graduates, a PA team, and three dedicated student data analysts.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Executive Director and an Associate Director who are both focussed on co-living valuations and have many years’ experience in the student accommodation and co-living markets.

The team is renowned for their flexibility when it comes to working from home. With wor/life balance being at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing valuations and writing reports
• Regular valuations and reporting for fund clients
• Running investment valuations and development appraisals
• Analysis of client and market data to prepare valuations
• Assisting with business development by handling repeat business, attending industry events and client presentations
• Maintaining key datasets such as investment schedules etc
• Client focused approach and ability to develop strong relationships

Requirements/Skills

• MRICS
• Sector agnostic, we are looking for candidates with a diverse and transferable skill set
• A strong grasp of income driven valuations and development appraisals, ideally proven with experience from a previous role, although not necessary to have previous student accommodation experience
• This is an ideal role for someone with experience of development valuations and documents etc, as much of the work we do in this area is development related
• Willingness to travel within the UK and potentially Europe
• Flexible and versatile approach, with the ability to work within a project team as well as autonomously
• Strong analytical, research, numeracy and report writing skills
• Ability to forge strong working relationships with colleagues in other teams
• Proactive, ability to work to tight deadlines and good attention to detail.
• Strong level of IT skills: strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Argus Developer.
