Cost & Commercial Manager - Global Investor / Developer

Privately owned global real estate investment, development and management firm has an exciting requirement for a Cost & Commercial Manager to be based in London with projects throughout Europe.
Reporting to the Head of Conceptual Construction Europe you will work closely with Conceptual Construction USA and the European Country Teams to acquire, assimilate, and manage data related to projects from conception through to the completion of the pre-construction phase.
You will assist in developing and maintaining a database of construction costs and scheduling information which is to be compiled from previous projects. The data will be utilized to participate in creating a working cost model too assist when considering new projects.
You will be expected to assist in maintaining and developing new contracts with major contractors and subcontractors and attend general contractor and subcontractor bid meetings and provide bid tabulations/analysis.
You will develop comparative information utilizing the database and create a more streamlined process through the utilization of historical data and a standardized financial model.
You will assist with managing the conceptual estimating process for Client’s (both internal & external) and assist as an internal point person preparing data for responses to RFP’s from both internal and external clients by providing budgetary cost data and construction schedules for proposals based on conceptual information. There will be multiple projects that require attention at any given time.
Ideally MRICS you will likely have a minimum of ten years’ experience as an estimator involved with a major general contractor as well as experience with a PQS or a developer across residential, commercial office, industrial & hotels.
Willingness to travel to their European locations, as required, and occasionally to the USA, to work with the broader Conceptual Construction Group is required. Knowledge of other European Markets as well as UK – including local procurement and contract differences ideally.
