Hays are working in partnership with a leading global Project and Cost Management Consultancy in the search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Associate Director) for their Belfast office, on a permanent basis. Being based in their Belfast office they are renowned for delivering a variety of £multi-million schemes throughout both public & private clients. Working closely with one of Northern Ireland most reputable public sector bodies, they now seek a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Associate Director Level) to join their team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Quantity Surveying Director, you will have responsibility for the cost management of a mix of projects capital infrastructure & building projects across Northern Ireland. You will work closely with a recognised NI based client who have a strong pipeline of projects throughout 2020 and into 2021.You will be involved with full pre and post contract quantity surveying, estimating and cost planning. You will be expected to maintain excellent relationships and lead progress meetings with a range of stakeholders alongside managing and mentoring junior members of the team in their professional development. This role will task you with seeking potential business development opportunities, demonstrating a strong knowledge of clients, competitors and client care policy
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you should has a degree qualification in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage project budgets effectively and have excellent client facing skills. Ideally you should be MRICS or be willing to work towards this. You will have strong organisational capabilities to ensure that projects are completed within defined timescales with strong communication skills both written & verbal.
