THE ROLE

I am seeking a Senior Project Manager or Project Co-ordinator, at assistant or intermediate level, in the Building Construction industry who has good English and German at B2 level or above to join a firm of construction consultants in Germany to work on the building construction of DATA CENTRES.

You will be based in Berlin but you will need to travel across Germany to site or to clients as required by the projects.

You will manage overall project cost, schedule and budgets and manage General Contractors and other contractors and consultants and deal directly with the client.

You will review construction proposals and related pricing and review and approve schedules.

You will run and lead client and other meetings.

You will support engineering decisions relating to the project cost and schedule.

You will be responsible as the client's representative for the projects success including budget, cost and schedule right through to handover to the client.

This role will offer great prospects for an ambitious project manager as this firm of construction consultants is continuing to expand in Germany.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful international firm of construction consultants providing clients with Project Management and Quantity Surveying services.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be Degree or MSc qualified in Construction Management, Construction Project Management or similar construction or engineering subject.

You will need to have gained around seven years experience or more in a building construction related role and be keen to progress your career with a firm of consultants doing project management and project co-ordination and have gained some experience of the building construction and extension of Data Centres ideally.

You will ideally have been working for a firm of building construction consultants or worked client-side.

You must have an understanding of all commercial and economic aspects of construction projects of high value.

You will need to have German at B2 level or beyond and good English.

Good communication skills are essential and to have the ability to deal with people at all levels.

Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of Euro 65000 per annum to Euro 80000 per annum.
