Joshua Robert have partnered with a Charitable Community Benefit Society providing 18,000 quality, affordable homes and care services that customers can trust in Shropshire and Staffordshire.  As one of the largest affordable housing providers in the area, the Group is a major investor in communities and employs more than 900 people.  

(Call centre based) - To propose diagnostic solutions to effectively deal with defects in the context of repairs and maintenance.

Raise works orders and inspections to effectively deal with repairs to the problems encountered.

Be flexible in approach and to assist other colleagues within the business to effectively deal with all reactive and routine repairs, major works, including disrepair and insurance claims when necessary.

Provide technical support for all reactive repairs, maintenance and stock improvement works to ensure that the organisations assets are maintained and developed in accordance with agreed business plans, objectives and standards.


Qualifications:
  • Professionally qualified Building or Quantity surveying Degree or,
  • minimum of HNC in a Construction related discipline, with 3 years PQE. 

Relevant Experience:
  • Experience of defect diagnosis within domestic buildings.
  • Ability to use all computer software packages.
  • A knowledge of environmental and property legislation, focusing on housing is essential.

Skills and Abilities:
 
 
·       Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
·       Understanding of relevant Statutory Regulations relating to Housing providers; including, but not limited to: Asbestos awareness, Building Regulations, Gas and Electrical safety, CDM.

Customer service and quality focus:
 
·       Proactive in continuous improvement of service to customers.
·       Committed to excellent customer service.
·       Ability to assist in the development and implementation of policies and plans to promote customer service in relation to Asset management services.
·       Understanding of the concept of Value for Money.

Communicating:
 
·       Effective interpersonal, skills who is able to communicate with customers, staff and external contractors at all levels.

Planning and Organising:
 
·       Diagnosing and prioritising specific work activities and tasks.
 
Special Requirements:
 
  • A current valid driving license along with access to a suitable vehicle. 
  • Our offices open at 8 am on a Monday and on Thursdays close at 7 pm.  Cover will be required for these times on a Rota basis.
  • The post holder will be expected to carry out any other duties deemed appropriate to the post.
